Limpsfield Chart won the toss and elected to bat on a sunny day in a glorious setting. The hosts had recently relaid their outfield and the ground was stunning. The opening batters accumulated runs at a steady rate and built a very solid foundation. Kings Hill kept it tight during the first half of the innings. However, the second half saw more fireworks. All the batters chipped in down the order, helping Limpsfield Chart to score a very strong 218-6. Will Challis bowled well conceding just 18 runs off his 8 overs whilst taking a wicket and deserved more. Mark Montgomery picked up 3 wickets for 36. Simon Hutchinson took 2 catches including an incredible one handed grab, high above his head, at midwicket.

Kings Hill innings was typified by batters getting themselves in and then getting out without full cashing in. Both Adam Lowing and Quintin Joubert fell for 14. Simon made a fluent 27 including 3 4's in a row. Nick Cranmer looked good for his 11. Phil Danbury scored 18* at the end. However, the highlight of the innings was Gary Jackson's very fine 68. The president scored some trademark boundaries. In the end Kings Hill's 176-8 was a solid team effort.

Post match reflections were that Kings Hill were always chasing at least 30 too many. Red cap winner was Gary Jackson for his great knock.
