Kings Hill's top order enjoyed batting at Gore Court, where cricket has been played for over 150 years, with four players hitting big scores. Openers Ashley Ulph and Ollie Sutton took advantage of some holes in the field whilst Gore Court were missing a few late players, but the early run-rate never slowed. Ashley and in-form number three Nathan Faulkes scored freely and looked set for a hundred each. Ashley was out on 81 though and Nathan fell nine agonising runs short of a century, caught on the boundary rope. Stand-in skipper Ryan Carter kept the runs coming, hitting 79 not out, whilst Ben Buet smashed a 50 in 21 balls. After an early tea taken during a heavy shower, these two batters came back out to hit 63 runs in the last five overs. The team's total of 344, at more than eight an over, was the highest anyone could recall the 3rd XI ever scoring.

The target would have been over 120 runs more than the highest score that the Kings Hill's bowlers have conceded all season, and once again they were tight from the start and took wickets at regular intervals. Opener Matt Ellis dismissed two for just 11 runs in his nine overs, whilst Hash Khan had the incredible figures of three wickets for one run in six overs. Tom Bray stayed top of the league's wicket-taking stats with two more. Sohail Khan grabbed the last few to bowl Gore Court out for 58 and complete a comprehensive victory for the team. Five games to go, they are 12 points clear of four chasing teams, with crucial fixtures left against three of them.
