Needing 11 off the final over, Hunton got it down to four off the last ball but could only scramble one off the nerveless bowling of Kings Hill's Hash Khan.

The team had posted 220 in our 40 overs. After a steady start from junior opener Ollie Sutton (27) and number three Nathan Faulkes, KHCC's score rattled along with a fine 100 partnership between Nathan and Hash. But when they were out for 68 and 72 respectively, Hunton were able to restrict how many our lower order could add.

Despite losing some early wickets, Hunton kept up with the required run rate and looked to have the game won when their number five took advantage of the short boundaries and strong winds to smash a rapid 60. Ben Clarke came back on to take two wickets though, and when the number five was caught neatly on the ropes by skipper Rich Clarke, Kings Hill were back in it.

Two tight overs by Atif Bhatti set up the tense last six balls. Who would have known that Mick Saul's lovely lofted drive for four in our 40th over would prove such crucial runs?! A fantastic team effort to snatch victory.
